Michael Kennedy hails from Durban, South Africa and was always a dreamer at heart – a true Aquarian! He completed his diploma in graphic design in 1996 and immediately left his home town to immerse himself in the UK culture for the following 5years. These 5years shaped him incredibly so, and it was during this time that he found his independence as a free-thinker and libertarian by nature. The music festival and electronic dance movement at the time had massive impact on him and he would go on to buying himself a large sound-system and returning to South Africa (in 2002) to begin a career in event production – all along making use of the artistic skills intrinsic to him & his work learnt through his earlier studies. To this day Michael is revered for the events curated by him and his brands ‘Make-Believe’ and ‘The Spirit Train’…although sadly he did not apply the same passion for his art during this lifetime.
