The smell of Bangkok
clings to my clothes
like firewood.
I am sure my sweat
still tastes like Koh San Road.
Loaded, smelling and tasting,
onto the Farang cattle truck.
Inertia driven by indirection.
Another night, another bus.
My nostrils clench
like angry fists,
waiting for a face.
